Yesterday, walking through the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington Spa, I stumbled upon their EcoFest 2023 day activities, advertised as – ‘learn more about how you can decrease your carbon footprint, increase your healthy eating & step outside more to explore beautiful local green spaces. Good for us, good for the planet.’
As it was not on my schedule to peruse, I hurried through to the other side but could not help but notice one tent stand – the Love Food Hate Waste. I admit I did not take time to investigate, but I did see, as per this quick snap, “Transform your garden with a compost bin”, which I have no qualms about; yes, we should all compost, especially food waste. But look at the size of these LARGE compost bins. Where will you place this when ” Analysis from the Office for National Statistics has revealed that 12% of homes in Great Britain have no access to a private or shared garden – affecting 3.3 million families across the country.”
